Goodbye Team Maffy2

Something I emailed my team before we separate ways... :(

To Team Maffy 2,

I just realized it’s our last night together as a team… It’s always hard to say goodbye that’s why I won’t!

It’s been a rollercoaster ride with every twists and turns proving to be educational for all of us. We’ve learned how to cope with the challenges of our work as well as deal with our problems as a team . We’ve learned that we don’t always agree on everything but we’ve learned how to compromise. Things will definitely be different, but hey change is a fact of life! I wish you all goodluck and hope that you continue to improve and be the next top performers of your new teams. To those who are gonna be moving to the same team where I will be transferring (swerte nyo!), let’s keep that Team Maffy spirit alive!

Good luck everyone… see you on the floor!

Goodbye Fitness First!

I'm officially canceling my membership with Fitness First starting Feb 2008. I'm planning to move to either Golds or Slimmers... Golds because the facilities are almost the same as Fitness'. Slimmers because it's closer to my place. Hmmm...

Team Building this saturday at Pansol!

This is where we will have our Team Building this Saturday! Our Team Manager, Maffy will be transferring to Technical Support and our team will be distributed to different teams so we decided to have our last team building before we say goodbye. Sad but that's how it is.

What did I get this Christmas?

I think this Christmas is one of the best I've ever had... I was with my family this year plus I got more gift than last year. :)

I got a pair of Dupe Sandals, Havaianas keychain, Fino keychain, a pair of boxers, Marithe Francois Girbaud Wallet, and F&H shirt, and the gifts are still coming! Hehehe!

I love this time of the year!

Plenty of things to be thankful...

As 2007 bids farewell, I wanna say thank you to all the blessing that I got this year and thank you to those people who made 2007 a year to remember. I just hope that everyone stays positive towards the new year... let's leave our disappointments and angst behind and embrace the promise of a new year, a new life, a new beginning. I'm thankful that I still have a job, a roof above my head, a warm bed when I need to rest, a loving family, an equally loving friends supporting me, and a partner that's always there for me!

Let's strive to get to where we really want to be and stop blaming others for our shortcomings! Let's move forward and stop pulling other people down! Let's leave our garbage behind... though it's gonna be difficult we have to. Let's be stronger, wiser, and be ready to be hailed!

Happy New Year everyone!

Just for Laughs

A Filipino walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to the Philippines on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Filipino hands over the keys and documents of new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out.

The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Filipino for using
$250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.

An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Filipino returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says,
"Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5,000" ?

The Filipino replies:

"Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"
Ah, the mind of the Filipino...

Season for giving...

This is definitely the season for giving... today our family gave away ham to our tenants here in Valenzuela something we haven't done in the recent years and would like to start and continue from here onwards. Something that we should have done in the past... just to say thank you to all the blessings that we have received in the past! I had so much fun since me and my sister bought and distributed them to the tenants.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Fastest DSL?

I used to wonder what's the fastest DSL provider in the country. Went online and saw this site www.speedtest.com that lets you check the speed of you connection. From the users who tried using the service, here's what they found out.

Nagpapaka-geek na naman ako!

Heroes

Definitely my favorite TV show right now. The show ended it's 2nd season a couple of days back in the US with Sylar getting back his power after getting a virus causing him to temporarily be powerless. I watched season 2 online and am now in the process of finishing season 1.

In season 1... the gang was able to save New York from total destruction and was able to stop Sylar who ended up losing all his powers after contacting a rare virus that affects people with abilities like him... In season 2 the gang tries to stop a major event that would wipe out half the world's population.

In this season Sylar will regain his powers after getting the antidote from Mohinder Suresh... his blood combined with the Claire's blood.

Get ready for the worst

...that's what my co-Case Managers told me. With all the things happening on the floor right now, I won't be surprised if alot of people will be resigning early next year. To be honest, I'm thinking about it myself.

My Grown-up Christmas Wish

Christmas used to be a very big thing for me and my family back then. Although we didn't have enough to celebrate with; we would always find a way to be together the moment the clock strikes 12. My parent would try to make both ends meet just to make sure that we have something on the table. A luxury that all of us look forward to in hopes that the next year would be better.

I even remember asking my mom why we didn't have a big nice Christmas tree like those of my friends; To which she would reply "we just can't afford one". She would then go and get our old Christmas tree which we've been using for the last 5 years or so. That was my wish when I was younger... to have a nice Christmas tree. That served as my inspiration... at a tender age I would constantly remind myself that I have to study hard and get a good paying job so I could provide for my family. I used to think that if I have money Christmas would be alot better.

Twenty years or so after... here I am wishing that I could go back in time and experience Christmas all over again. Now, buying a Christmas tree is just a swipe away with my credit card and "Noche Buena" meant a trip to the nearest restaurant... I wish I could celebrate Christmas as a child.

This Christmas, like the past 5 or so in the past, I won't be with my family. Although I am gonna get them gifts this Christmas, I learned that material gifts ain't as important as being with them during this time of the year.

For my Dad, I wish him strenght and patience. Although we don't really talk that much I know that he cares for us and that he only wants the best for the family.

For my Mom, I wish her health and wisdom. She's been very supportive and have a good role model for me and my sisters. I promise to take good care of you and give you a life that you truly deserve.

For Rose my younger sister, I wish you happiness and confidence in yourself. You've been the quiet one in the family. I'm sorry if I wasn't always there when you needed me but I promise to make it up to you.

For Grace our "bunso", I am so proud of you and I wish you all the best in your career and hope that you would continue to take good care of mom and dad whenever I'm not there.

To my Bebi, I wish we stay strong thru out any hurdles that may come our way. Thank you for accepting me for who I am and for understanding me.

To my friends, thank you for everything and I hope that you will remain a part of my life forever!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Ayan's Lifelist

I've decided to make my own lifelist just to keep everything aligned in my life. I'm not sure if I get to accomplish everything but at least I have a guide of my priorities.

This list ain't complete yet... I'll update this every now and then.

Accomplished:

Urgent:

- Get a leaner and more toned and defined body
- Get that job abroad (Airline / Cruise)

Within the next quarter:
- Get 6-pack abs
- Buy a car for my family

Within a year or two:
- Buy a nice laptop to replace the old iMac at home

Long Term (a.k.a "I wish" or "probably not in this lifetime") Goals:
- Buy a nice place for my family or have our old house renovated
- Get to travel the world and learn their culture
- Open a business thru the help of my friends... probably somewhere in the line of Travel , Food, or Services
