This is the first time I tried riding these long tail boats of Thailand and it definitely is very exciting and fun... Make sure you're ready to get wet...
If you want to shop for clothes and just about anything... Penang in Malaysia is a nice option. I went to this place called Little India in Penang to check out some of the beads and scarfs I heard was nice from my friends who's been there. Also check out Komtar for stuff like DVDs, Cellphones, Digital Cam etc.
I really don't know why I went to this place... I guess I just wanted to see it and be with my friends... I didn't get to see much though... maybe I'll go back next time.
This photo was taken at Patong Beach, Phuket Thailand. We (Marcos and Fabiana both from Brazil and me) decided to go out and check out the night life in Phuket and what a night it was... lots of shopping and party everywhere we go... what I didn't like though was that the vendors around the area are selling their goods at unreasonable prices... I guess it's because we're foreigners... I told my friend that in the end the tourist will tend to go to other places for shopping if they'll continue doing this... like what I did... I found out that it's better to do your shopping in this small island called Ao Nang Beach just near PhiPhi Island (where they shot Leonardo Di Caprio's movie THE BEACH) in Thailand.
I just love what they did in Orchard Road in Singapore... The pictures taken from the air hundreds of feet above ground featuring the natural wonders of our planet really made me feel so lucky to be alive and living in this beautiful world we call earth.
Sandy Beach is definitely one of my favorite places to go to here in Malaysia. I just love the fact that it's very organized and that it's clean. The sand and the water can't compare to the beaches that we have in the Philippines but it's still worth a visit.
This is a photo inside a sanctuary inside a cave in Krabi Thailand. What's spooky about this sanctuary is the fact that it houses a wax figure of a famouse buddhist monk who's so famous for his works they regard him so much in Thailand that they have these wax figures in a number of sanctuaries like this.
This is the first time after a while since I had the time to update my blog... sorry for the delay... just been busy with all the things happening here in the ship... plus I don't have my laptop so you could just imagine how hard it is for me to do this often. Anyway I already transferred to my new ship... the Gemini... Everything here is well but I still miss my friends from my old ship.
I'm excited though because come May 2006 the ship will be going around Asia for 21 days... meaning I will get to see more countries like Cambodia, Hongkong, China, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan and more... hope things go well.
By the way happy new year everyone... I'll try to post some pictures from our Christmas and New Year party next week. :) For now here are some pics from Singapore.
