Long weekend with friends

This album is all about seeing old friends again and meeting new ones.

Will just got back from Chicago and begged me to join him have dinner while he waits for Kris. I on the other hand went to Trinoma to meet my close friend from Dumaguete who I haven't seen for ages. We then bumped into my new friends who share the same passion in running... Lara and Nats with Wayne having coffee at Sky Garden.

We then drove to Will's uber posh condo in QC where I stayed for the night. When we woke up the following day I decided to get a massage and went out to party but unfortunately Will can't join us but promised to meet up the next day at Pier 1 with Mike, Harold, Karen, Hi, and Alex. Oh I forgot! We even went to the christening of Jacky's niece! Hoy Will and Karen iniwan nyo pa sa kotse yung souvenirs nyo! hahaha!

What a way to end the night and spend the weekend :)

The Magic Stays

I remember asking my parents to take me to Echanted Kingdom when I was a kid. Back then Enchanted Kingdom was the premiere theme park in the Philippines. It is located in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, about 26 kilometers (16.1 miles) from Manila. With a land area of 17 hectares (41 acres) it promises an experience worth the travel. Recently, one of the rides, the infamous "Space Shuttle" was on the news after it stalled / stopped dead on its tracks with 25 passengers got suspended in mid-air. This happened first on June 20, 2004 and again December 12, 2007.

I still took my chance and went on the "Space Shuttle"... why? Well for one it's already a tradition that I ride it whenever I go there. Another is because it's the best ride in the park aside from the Go Cart and the Rapids. I enjoyed the diving show that they have this summer with foreign divers performing really neat tricks on the diving board. Check out more pics here.

Why is it hard to say GOODBYE?!?!?!?!

It's been one hell of a crazy week! Things have changed so much in such a short time. Changes that made me think of my priorities. I'm not gonna go thru the details but basically it all boils down to one thing. People change either we like it or not. People change because they have to or they are forced to by certain situations. We say goodbye to people or to stuff we got so used to because we need to grow up!

I realized that in this world, where we are no longer bounded by space and time with advancements in technology, we still tend to let go of people we love.

I miss my old friends... In fact I miss them so much that I wish we could all hangout together again like what we used to. I still have most of their numbers on my phone until now (explains why I have almost a thousand entries). Even those who I haven't heard from for ages!

I said goodbye to some folks in the office the other day. There was a brief moment of sadness at the office when 2 of my teammates and 2 others from the other team expressed their plans to resign. We all have our reasons and I respect their decision. I guess the only thing that I can do is to wish them good luck. They will surely be missed!

Also the other day, I had a long discussion with a friend asking for my opinion either to do what he thinks is right or do what he feels is right. I really had a hard time answering that question since I don't think anyone would be in a position to answer that question. I just told him to follow his heart for at the end of the day... what's important is to have the balls to face life and it's challenges head on! Ey! We only live once!

Old Emails

By now my eyes are so tired I wanna lie on my airbed and sleep but I figured I'd post this before I hit the sack.

I was cleaning up my email since it's been a while since I sorted out my emails... and if you're a Gmail user like me you probably would have hundreds of emails as well. Funny thing is that I even have emails still in my inbox dating as far as 2005. It's like going back in time and thinking of all those people who emailed you and you replied back to... old friends, co-workers, relatives, EX's, modeling contacts, and alot more.

I didn't get to finish everything since I don't have time right now but I promise I'll do this within the month. I even thought of emailing a few friends here and there without changing the body of the email... hehehe! Just gonna check up on them to see how they are doing.

One thing is for sure though... alot have changed and that's how life is.

True Friends

I've always wondered if I would meet a perfect friend who would grow old with me. I have alot of friends... some I don't even thought would be my friend to begin with. The sad thing is that friends do come and go...

I remember this friend from elementary who I was so close to we would spend time together at his place or my place playing video games the whole day and would go to the mall and play arcade... I was really into those shit when I was younger. Then we just stopped seeing each other when we both went to college. I miss Alex... we used to talk on the phone even when we were both in college. We never got to see each other though cause I had to move out of my parents place and live alone.

Then came Gladys... my dance revo partner! Gladys is a very sweet girl who always have a smile on her face and would always find positive things in even the most depressing moments of our college life. Hmmm... I miss going to the ICT Center... I miss the guys I worked with... mostly students working as part-time programmers and analysts like me way back. I never saw Gladys again though we still message each other thru Friendster. I guess we both got busy with our jobs and that time my interests were starting to change.

Then I met Vince... one really funny guy who can't seem to get thru life without a partner. He's like someone who has to have a lover... funny but he always get to find one. Though I kept on reminding him not to trust easily as he gets hurt easily. We still exchange messages once in a while but things are not the same. I guess he's also busy with his work now doing events.

Then came Uma and his sister Rose. I remember walking in that room back in Elan Models International @ Mile Long Building for an audition in Makati and seeing them on the couch talking in Hebrew. I remember even asking if they were talking in French. I never thought that Hebrew would be common to my ear after a while. We clicked and from then we're inseparable. Then Uma had to go inside the famous house and I had to leave for Singapore. I remember having coffee for the last time before I left thinking for the best for both of us... I really thought I wouldn't see them again... then I came back and we decided to live in one house... which was one of the happiest moments in my life being with friends 24hrs a day 7 days a week. I had to move out eventually and they also had to move... we still talk every now and then but again it ain't the same. I met so many friends in the cruise Ryan, JD, Herel and all the cruise staff they were all very friendly as well as my bosses but I knew they have their own lives back home like me... I wonder how they are doing? Well JD is leaving for London and Ryan... well he's still here contemplating on what to do next with his life.

Now I have a new set of friends... stronger and I guess wiser friends... I have Lucien, Gerard, Fabi, Kris, Patty, and Jen who I seem to be spending most of my time with. I guess there's no such friend who would really stick with you from start to end but they would still remain your friends but in a different level. Some would inspire you... some would stay just for the ride... some would be your friend for the time being just to teach you a lesson or two in life and would end up as your enemies... but there would always be friends who would be there thru thick and thin. I am happy that I have alot of real friends... I'm rich! I know I am... not monetary but love from my friends. Thank you to my friends from way back and to my new friends.

To answer my own question... I guess there's no such thing as a perfect friend but a friend who can compliment you and fill in for what your other friends lack.

OK this post is getting too long... sorry I'm just bored thinking out loud.

Party after so long...

Ok... so I wasn't really planning of going out last Saturday but then again...

After Cafe Bola we went and watched Resident Evil and decided to party. Thanks to our new "Kabarkada" Kris who's one of the promoters of Warehouse 135 we got in as VIPs. No need to line up! Hahaha! Thank Kris!

Things are starting to get better. After a few bumps and problems in the past... things are starting to settle. I'll be going to BORACAY on the 19th after some persuation my boss said YES! Yeeepeeee!

Got the tickets today and I'm so excited. Will post more info on my next entry.

Trinoma

It was my first time to go to Trinoma since it opened to the public... Kinda weird for someone who used to live in the Northern part of the metro. Hehehe!

Went there with Lucien to watch a movie (Chuck and Larry).

The place was kinda suffocating and there was damn so many people! Arg!

Terrence and Ryan followed and also watched a movie but since Lucien can't stand Horror movies (which I love as well as Terrence and Ryan) we ended up watching Chuck and Larry while Ryan and Terrence watch 1408.

Patty called me yesterday morning inviting me to have lunch at Saisaki in Glorietta. I was in the gym working out when I got the call and you could just imagine how I wanted to go out and stop my workout and just eat! Hahaha!

Ebun!

Ebun is a word in "Kapampangan" which means egg.

This is one my favorite restaurants because it gives life to ordinary Filipino dishes at a relatively cheap price. Located at Greenbelt 3 and situated near the man made lagoon, this restaurant provides a good alternative to the usual places to eat and relax while chatting away with your friends. The place's interior has been renovated from the old one which features fake eggs in their windows. Now the place features these nice lights decorated with "Kapis". Very Filipino.

Sorry about the sisig... was so excited we already ate part of it before having the chance to take a pic. Hehehe!

Oodys @ Greenbelt

I was craving for something Thai tonight so I decided to meet up with Lucien and have dinner at Oodys in Greenbelt. I would definitely recommend this restaurant over another Thai - Fusion restaurant, Banana Leaf, also at Greenbelt.
